project Alice is building a companion with one personality and one memory — one that follows you from your desk out into the street. We'd rather get that relationship right slowly than ship a demo that forgets you.
WHY ALICE
Social media connected everyone and left a lot of people lonely anyway. We perform for an audience, edit ourselves, and leave the real thing unsaid. The AI that arrived next is genuinely useful and completely impersonal — it answers, then forgets. We don't think what's missing is a better answer engine. It's someone who was there last time, who is the same person on your laptop and on the street, and who you don't have to perform for. That's what we're building, one release at a time.

Every decision starts from what it's like to have Alice around for a month — not from what looks good in a one-minute demo.
Honest about the state of things
We say what runs today and what doesn't. Nothing on this site is dressed up as more finished than it is.
Yours to inspect
You should be able to see what Alice remembers and decide where the conversation gets processed — including keeping it on your own machine.
No lock-in
Alice is model-agnostic on purpose. A relationship you spent a year building shouldn't depend on one vendor staying in business.
